Welcome to LILLY CLOU , your exclusive online shop for handcrafted jewelry made from high-quality 925 sterling silver, with a unique studio in the heart of Zurich. We are a creative and passionate jewelry brand born from the long-standing tradition and expertise of goldsmith Beatrice Sponagel . For over 50 years, Beatrice has been delighting customers with her skill and unique designs – and this legacy lives on in every piece of our jewelry.
In 2019, we founded LILLY CLOU to share our latest creations with the world. Together with Fabienne Sponagel , who, in addition to customer management, the website, marketing, and administration, also passionately designs our new jewelry, we dedicate ourselves to creating extraordinary designs. Our creations are born anywhere—at home, in the studio, while traveling, or even on vacation. As soon as an idea is born, we bring it to life in our studio. Here, in our creative space, we create the prototypes that later end up as handmade pieces of jewelry in your jewelry box.
The name LILLY CLOU is deeply rooted in our family: Lilly is a traditional name that has been passed down through the Sponagel family for generations – Bea, her mother, and Fabienne's daughter also have it as their middle name. Clou means "nail" in French and is a play on our surname "Sponagel," which means "nail." The name also represents the philosophy of "getting down to business" – just as we set clear, exceptional accents with our jewelry.
We place particular emphasis on unique materials, the highest quality, and individual design. Our jewelry is crafted from high-quality 925 sterling silver and produced in small batches—sometimes even as individual pieces. We are particularly known for our CLOU CLICK earrings, which impress with their innovative design and ease of use.
